“ This place made me feel like I went back in time in the 80s where the air had a nostalgic yellow tint and I was Morgan Freeman at the end of the movie Shawshank Redemption meeting my friend at the beach! Mr Carrasco makes a mean Mezcalito and sold us on a shrimp in coconut and tequila sauce that we couldn't say no to. Needless to say it was divine, and we ended the day with 2 huge coconut waters. I didn't want to leave the place as I was hypnotized by the shimmering water and the atmosphere. If you complain about the time it takes to cook the food or how much it costs you must have lost your soul somewhere. Put your feet up and let Mr Carrasco and his wonderful wife take you for a ride. I will be dreaming of this place when I go back home. ”
“ I could not recommend this place anymore! This family-run beachside restaurant offers an incredibly relaxing experience. The atmosphere, service, and food were all outstanding. We savored the delightful shrimp tostadas and the mouthwatering filletes a la Mexicana. While it is not the cheapest meal we have had in Mexico, the experience of dining by the beach and the quality of food makes it totally worth it. This restaurant surpasses all others along the beach. ”
“ The owners Paublo and his wife were welcoming and very friendly. We had the fish ceviche which was delicious, although you could hardly taste the fish because it was cut very fine. Today we had pulpo with onions, what a dish!!!! The pulpo was the best thing I had have anywhere in Mexico. Please go to this place you will not regret it. ”
“ We had a lovely time in this chilling place just in front of the sea. The food is just delicious! We ate the best ceviche of Puerto Escondido and ordered drinks made with fresh mango and huge coconut. The owner, Pablo, and his wife are so cute person always ready to give you a smile and giving you a proper tipycal moment with their stories. Last but not least is perfect if you want to work thanks to the wi-fi. Absolutely the best experience in Puerto Escondido! ”
“ We spent two days at La Palapa de Carrasco and loved it. The beach lounges are back under the trees and very comfortable. The service was always good and the food was the best we found on the beach. The fish filet was perfect and for breakfast the huevos rancheros were delicious. ”
“ Nice spot to chill and have some food. I got the grilled sea bass which was really good. The owner and his wife were super sweet. The fish did take about 40 min to grill so if you're in a hurry that's probably not a good choice off the menu. But if you're hanging out at the beach and have time then it's great! ”
“ Nice and sympathetic place between al the other restaurants. Older couple that isn't hassling you about minimum amount you have to consume. Very sweet! Had a good (local) breakfast and some great fish tacos. Prices a very reasonable. ”
“ First time in Puerto Escondido, we went on a Saturday and all of the palapas were packed so my wife and I decided to walk to see if there was anything that wasn’t that busy. We came across this palapa and Don Pablo greeted us right away but we thought to ourselves why are all other palapas packed like sardines and this palapa only had two guests. So we decided to take the risk and it was the best decision we made. We had the ceviche, shrimp a la diabla was so delicious and felt very welcoming by Don Pablo and his wife. It was so delicious we came back another two occasions during our week stay in Puerto. Definitely recommended!!! ”
